Eduardo A. Carlo

CO-MANAGING PARTNER

Eduardo Alfonso Carlo is a co-founder of Carlo & McBride. He advises individuals and families on estate planning and related matters, including cross-border considerations where clients have international assets or family connections abroad. His approach is shaped by prior experience in commercial litigation and estate and trust litigation at a top Manhattan firm, and he focuses on clear, court-tested drafting—wills, trusts, and incapacity planning designed to minimize conflict. He also assists business owners with foundational structuring work, including entity formation and operating agreements. Virtual consults and Spanish-language support available.

John T. McBride

CO-MANAGING PARTNER

John McBride is a co-founder of Carlo & McBride and serves as General Counsel for PlanSimpli, LLC, overseeing corporate, tax, employment, and contract matters. He advises businesses on formation, governance, and commercial agreements, including support for foreign companies and international founders establishing a U.S. presence. John also serves on the D.C. Superior Court Probate Division’s Fiduciary Panel and participates in the D.C. Pro Bono Advice and Referral Clinic as a tax mentor. His work is practical and operations-minded.

Education: Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M., Taxation), The George Washington University Law School (J.D., with honors), and University of Maryland, College Park (B.S., Finance)
